Every great success story has a back story. Right now you are writing yours. Will you lead your life or allow circumstance to determine your life for you?
At 5 years old he lost his father. At 16 he dropped out of school. At 17 he had already lost 4 jobs. At 18 he got married and became a railroad conductor. At 19 he became a father to a little girl. At 20 his wife left him and took their one year old daughter with her.
At 22 he joined the army, applied to law school and faced rejection after rejection. He then became an insurance salesmen and after losing his job to a recession, became a cook and dishwasher at a small café near his home.
At 65 he retired and on his first day of retirement he received his pension check. It was $105.00 USD. He felt like a failure and decided to commit suicide. As he was writing his will he started a list of what he had accomplished in his life and thought about what a great cook he was. It occurred to him perhaps there was more life to live and all hope was not lost. He just needed to become creative and do something no one else had done.
He borrowed $87 USD to buy a fryer and ingredients for his recipe. He faced rejection after rejection and stayed true to his belief in his secret recipe.
Then one day, when he thought there was no hope, a restaurant gave him his moment and KFC was born.
At 88 he became a multi-billionaire. That man was Colonel Sanders.
Is it too late to follow your dreams? I don’t think so…
Choose to lead your life. You can do it and you deserve it!
