That Dream Was Planted in Your Heart for a Reason

Somewhere along the way, many of us lose touch with our dreams. Maybe you never had the chance to dream at all. Maybe, when you were younger, someone told you that dreams don’t come true, so why set yourself up for disappointment? So, you didn’t. You learned to live without them.

Or maybe you did dream once, but life had other plans. The weight of responsibility - paying bills, meeting deadlines, fulfilling obligations - took over. Somewhere between surviving and striving, your dreams got left behind.

Or perhaps you started living for everyone else. Your kids. Your partner. Your family. Their happiness became your purpose; in the process, you forgot what made you happy. Now, if someone asked what you want, you wouldn’t even know how to answer.

And then, there are those of you who still feel the pull of a dream. A hope. A vision. But “reality” tells you it’s impossible. So, you keep pushing it down, ignoring it, convincing yourself that people like you don’t get to live out their dreams.

I remember feeling all of those things the first time I heard this quote: “That dream was planted in your heart for a reason.”

Something about it stirred something in me. What if - just maybe - that dream was there because I was meant to make it happen? What if it was never about whether dreams were possible, but whether I believed they were?

And what if the only thing holding me back… was me?

I know now that it was.

So if you have something inside you - a dream, a goal, a desire, a vision - understand this: it’s in your heart for a reason. It’s not there by accident. It’s not a mistake. It’s yours for the taking.

The first step? Believing it’s possible. And belief starts with action. Small steps. Tiny victories. With every little achievement, your confidence will grow. Your perspective will shift. Your belief in yourself will get stronger.

Every action brings you closer.
Every step forward builds momentum.
Every accomplishment reinforces your ability to create the life you truly want.
